We are thrilled to announce a pivotal position for a Human Resources Business Partner to enhance our HR strategy and operations.

In this role, you will report directly to the National People & Culture Manager of Business Partnering, becoming an integral member of our dynamic team. You will collaborate with operational leaders to implement the business strategy through effective people management. Your expertise in generalist HR will be vital in crafting practical, values-driven solutions that embody best practices and motivate teams to achieve outstanding employee satisfaction.

Key Details:

This role involves FIFO work from Perth, with a schedule of 8 days on and 6 days off.

About You:

To excel in this position, you should possess a solid background in HR Generalist functions at the Business Partnering level within a medium to large organization. You will be a proactive HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, equipped with the confidence to influence key stakeholders and drive mutually beneficial outcomes.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the business to design and implement strategic people initiatives and organizational transformations. Analyze trends and metrics within the People & Culture group to identify emerging challenges and develop informed solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Lead the provision of high-quality, compliant, and best practice industrial relations and employee relations services.
  • Coach and support leaders in your area on day-to-day operational people matters, focusing on risk management, fostering positive organizational behaviors, and embedding a high-performance culture.
  • Build effective and collaborative relationships with internal clients and external stakeholders, including key contacts, to influence decision-making and drive change.
  • Oversee or conduct investigations in line with company policies and relevant employment legislation.
  • Assist the business in meeting compliance requirements pertinent to your area.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar capacity is preferred.
  • Experience in supporting sectors such as Hospitality, Village Operations, or Mining is highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply Enterprise Bargaining Agreements and other industrial agreements.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in industrial relations and employee relations practices and legislation at both national and state levels.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make informed decisions independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and building rapport with stakeholders.
  • Experience in enterprise bargaining is advantageous.
  • Adept at tactically influencing stakeholders to achieve business objectives while managing risks appropriately.
