Our Risk Chapter
Our Business Banking Line 1 Risk Chapter plays a critical role in collaborating with Product teams to ensure they meet their strategic goals. In this role, you'll support the Merchants Solution Domain in managing and overseeing risks across their products and services. Your focus will be on third-party risk, ensuring the business operates within our Group's risk appetite.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Foster a proactive risk culture by working with business partners, procurement, and Line 2 teams to develop effective third-party risk management strategies.
- Provide risk advice on supplier lifecycle and governance activities, including supporting business owners with risk assessments.
- Design and implement controls to enhance risk and compliance outcomes, identifying opportunities for process improvements.
- Ensure data quality in key systems, providing essential support to business partners in governing and managing third-party risks.
- Partner with the business to manage risks, compliance obligations, and operations within risk appetite, including profiling and capturing risks in the Risk Profile.

- Experience in procurement and supplier management, with a focus on third-party arrangements.
- A risk and compliance mindset, with knowledge of Operational Risk and Compliance Management Frameworks.
- Effective stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships and manage conflicting priorities.
- Business acumen, with an understanding of our business and strategic priorities.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across different teams and levels of seniority.
