Leisure and Lifestyle Program Coordinator

As a Leisure and Lifestyle Program Coordinator, you will play a vital role in promoting social connectedness and independence among older residents living in the community. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and deliver social and recreational programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our clients.

  • Promote participation in meaningful activities and encourage residents to engage in their favorite hobbies.
  • Maintain friendly and supportive professional relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Ensure programs and activities are culturally relevant to people from the CALD community.
  • Assist with assessments, reviews, and ongoing evaluations of residents' cultural, recreational, and leisure needs and lifestyle interests.
  • Develop and work within individual client care plans to support residents in their daily activities and attendance.

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to share empathy and understanding with residents and their families.
  • Outstanding customer service skills by maintaining friendly, supportive, and professional relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Can-do attitude, good verbal and communication skills, and basic computer skills.
  • Time management skills and problem-solving ability.
