Job Title: Strategic Business Leader

The strategic business leader will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for ensuring the organization operates to the highest levels of compliance and in accordance with all relevant policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expertise and advice on business support functions, enabling the Board, sub-committees, and staff to function effectively and efficiently.
  • Oversee and deliver preparation of papers and minutes for Board and sub-committee meetings, including the Audit & Risk Committee (ARC), Nominations Committee, AGM, and special general meetings.
  • Review and maintain the Risk Register and risk framework, as well as oversee the finance and integrity functions of the organization.
  • Embed a culture of child safeguarding while influencing and educating key stakeholders.
  • Oversee the Business Optimisation & Data Lead to review internal systems, processes, and reporting, establishing more automated and systemised reporting of the organisation's strategy and other internal objectives.
  • Influence and contribute directly to the organization's culture, striving to positively show values daily and associated behaviors.
About You:
  • Qualification in Law/Governance, Business Management, Human Resources, or other relevant field.
  • Previous experience in a role with a strong focus on policy, governance, integrity, finance, risk, and compliance.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in managing budgets.
  • Experience in effective stakeholder management and communications.
  • Love of sport and strong desire to contribute significantly to the growth of tennis.
  • Current Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Preparedness to be flexible in working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis VIC.
