Seeking a seasoned Procurement Manager to join our dynamic Purchasing and Procurement team in Melbourne. As a key member, you will develop, validate, communicate and implement effective sourcing strategies for responsible spend categories, production sites, and the corporate team.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will possess strong demonstrable experience with strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, planning, forecasting, and inventory management. Previous experience within livestock procurement is desirable but not required. The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate key metrics and root causes of performance to stakeholders.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies for responsible spend categories, production sites, and the corporate team
  • Manage day-to-day purchasing activities across the Division
  • Ensure appropriate purchase item lead-time and cost management
  • Monitor and manage site-based Supplier Performance
  • Manage physical inventory/value
  • Obtain quotes and/or negotiate pricing for non-contracted lines
  • Liaise with Department Supervisors for trialling of new/alternative materials
  • Develop close relationships with Pork Livestock providers
  • Procure primal cuts to support the division's Value-Added strategy
