Job Description

In this pivotal role, you will spearhead product strategy, fostering innovative solutions that meet evolving market demands.

  • Analyze local market trends to ensure our product offerings align with customer needs and our divisional goals.
  • Optimize our product portfolio, collaborating with category marketing to enhance market position and returns.
  • Proactively identify new product opportunities to drive profitable growth, ensuring our offerings are relevant, competitive, and meet customer requirements.
  • Coordinate the introduction and phasing out of products to guarantee quality outcomes and timely launches/exits.
  • Communicate product program updates to internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Coordinate inventory levels with sales requirements and financial targets.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with local legislation and RBAU code of conduct.
  • Regularly communicate with target groups regarding product and category marketing activities, market insights, sales support initiatives, and other related topics.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular market research and visits to stay informed about industry developments, customer demands, and changing trends.
  • Assist in developing sales and margin budgets for planning and forecasting as part of our divisional business plan.
  • Maintain a product portfolio roadmap, technical specifications, and optimal price positioning for existing and new product development.
  • Develop pricing strategies to achieve budgeted turnover and margin levels in collaboration with Sales & Marketing Manager.
  • Support the development and activation of category-specific marketing communication plans and campaigns.
  • Create market entry and penetration concepts, including commercial calculations, product features, benefits, sales channel development, competitor benchmarking, price positioning, etc., for new products and product maintenance.
  • Proactively communicate product-related issues with customers, suppliers, and internal service departments.
  • Work closely with other marketing personnel and functional areas locally and abroad to ensure accuracy and timeliness of product information.
  • Create accurate and concise product information to support sales, planning, customer, and after-sales service, and other respective functional areas.
  • Conduct and manage internal and selected external product sales training for responsible product areas, including collateral creation.
  • Manage inventory and forecasting with input from the sales force to achieve financial targets.
