About the Role
The Department of Education, Western Australia is seeking a skilled Desktop Publisher to join their team. As a Desktop Publisher, you will be responsible for producing high-quality print and digital materials using advanced desktop publishing software.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and produce print and digital materials using Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Convert files into appropriate formats for printing or online publication.
- Communicate and negotiate with staff to refine draft materials and resolve issues associated with producing materials for publication.
- Provide technical desktop publishing support to staff and manage workloads to meet deadlines.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in advanced desktop publishing skills in Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Well-developed skills in formatting for print and online publication.
- Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to negotiate effectively with internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Capacity to organise and prioritise workloads.
