About the Role

The Department of Education, Western Australia is seeking a skilled Desktop Publisher to join their team. As a Desktop Publisher, you will be responsible for producing high-quality print and digital materials using advanced desktop publishing software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and produce print and digital materials using Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Convert files into appropriate formats for printing or online publication.
  • Communicate and negotiate with staff to refine draft materials and resolve issues associated with producing materials for publication.
  • Provide technical desktop publishing support to staff and manage workloads to meet deadlines.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in advanced desktop publishing skills in Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Well-developed skills in formatting for print and online publication.
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to negotiate effectively with internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Capacity to organise and prioritise workloads.
