The primary responsibility of this Database Administrator role is to oversee and manage critical database-related tasks. This includes incident management, problem management, high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and restore operations from a database perspective.

This involves driving strategic initiatives related to database administration, ensuring optimal system performance, security, and integrity. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in SAP HANA database administration, with additional experience in ASE/DB2 being a plus.

A strong background in installation, upgrades, performance tuning, security management, and high availability strategy implementation is essential for success in this role. Experience working independently in large-scale production environments and willingness to work in shifts/oncall models as needed are also required.

The Database Administrator will contribute to automation, scripting, and documentation of day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless delivery of services. A proven track record of operational experience, on-call experience, backup & recovery exposure, and automation tools/scripting processes are desirable.

Key Responsibilities">
  • Drive critical topics related to incident management, problem management, high availability, disaster recovery, backup & restore from a database point of view
  • Expertise in SAP HANA database administration with additional experience in ASE/DB2 welcomed
  • Installation, upgrades, performance tuning, security management, and high availability strategy implementation
  • Experience working independently in large-scale production environments

  • Contribution to automation, scripting, and documentation of day-to-day operations
Requirements">
  • 9+ years of work experience as a Database Administrator in Global Operations teams (primarily on SAP HANA and ASE Database Platforms)
  • Proven track record of operational experience and on-call experience
  • Backup & Recovery, HA/DR Strategy, Scripting & automation exposure
  • Professional Certification of Database Platforms with exposure to Project Management tasks including PMP and ITIL certification
