Job Overview:

Regional Training Specialist

The Regional Training Specialist will provide comprehensive training and coaching to Heavy Vehicle Technician Apprentices and new Technicians. This role is focused on enhancing the technical skills of our workforce, ensuring they have the necessary expertise to undertake complex repairs and rebuilds on Cummins products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivery of Diesel Engine Fundamentals and Basic Diagnostic training to all apprentices in the region.
  • Coaching and developing less experienced technicians and apprentices to independently undertake troubleshooting, repairs and rebuilds on Cummins products.
  • Participating in monthly training meetings and providing updates on progress against Heavy Vehicle Mechanical milestone training plan for the apprentices in your branch/region.
  • Maintaining a focus on apprentice safety by participating in extended pre-start meetings to ensure their understanding of workplace hazards and risk.
  • Collaboration with workshop supervisors and managers to ensure seamless delivery of training programs.
Requirements:
  • Advanced level knowledge of and experience with Heavy Duty Engine products is essential.
  • Prior experience providing technical advice and coaching to apprentices/technicians is highly desirable.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or willingness to work towards achievement is preferred.
  • A minimum 4 years post trade apprenticeship completion is highly regarded.
  • Candidates must be based in Melbourne, with a strong ability to travel across the region as required.
