Job Summary

The AML Operations Manager oversees the operational aspects of Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of AML/CTF functions, including customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, and sanctions compliance.
  • Oversee case management lifecycle from alert generation to investigation, escalation, and closure.
  • Direct timely and accurate preparation and submission of AUSTRAC reports.
  • Collaborate with technology teams and vendors to optimize transaction monitoring rules and implement process improvements.
  • Support the execution of the AML/CTF Program and present compliance insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Provide day-to-day direction and coaching to analysts, fostering a high-performance culture.
Qualifications
  • Extensive AML/CTF expertise with at least 5 years' experience in AML/CTF operations.
  • Strong regulatory knowledge, including AUSTRAC reporting obligations and case management methodologies.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Law, Commerce, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Recognised AML/CTF certification is highly desirable.
