Job Description

The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia’s Western Australia strategy aims to improve the health and wellbeing of people living in regional Western Australia.

A key focus area is expanding primary healthcare services for a bigger community impact. The establishment of an inaugural RFDS General Practice Clinic will provide practical experiences for students and help the community manage their health through preventative care and health promotion.

About You

We seek a General Practitioner to deliver high-quality care to patients and the community at our RFDS General Practice Clinic. You must have prior experience working in general practice and hold your AHPRA Medical Registration, as well as specialist qualifications such as FRACGP or FACRRM.

The role is a permanent part-time position based in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. Our preference is for the successful candidate to reside in Kalgoorlie; however, FIFO may be considered.

About the Role
  1. Support the delivery of quality patient outcome-focused care, working closely with the team to develop and deliver efficient and effective care and service delivery.
  2. Provide clinical care to patients by delivering meaningful preventative care and health promotion to help patients manage their health within the community.
  3. Provide clinical support to clinicians, and students where applicable.
  4. Create a strong sense of teamwork, promoting multi-disciplinary teamwork and clinical excellence by motivating and developing each clinician individually and as part of a team.
  5. Provide input regarding the development of clinical protocols/procedures, using evidence-based practices and ensuring they meet the required standards for accreditation.
  6. Have an interest in educating the next generation of clinicians and provide clinical training opportunities for students.
  7. Promote and maintain collegiate relationships with local medical and education facilities.
