Deputy National Legal Costing Manager Role

This role involves driving the performance of a nationally disbursed legal costing team.

  • Lead a team of eight to success and deliver strong outcomes.
  • Manage team performance by allocating workloads effectively.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex legal costing issues, resolving them with both internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience as a legal costing solicitor and commercial acumen.

They should also possess exceptional stakeholder management skills, strong statistical and numerical understanding of data, and strong attention to detail.

As part of this role, you will be part of a truly connected team of authentic people who share empathy, adaptability, and initiative.

Key responsibilities include providing recommendations on optimal costing methodologies, training legal teams on time recording practices, and preparing accurate costs assessments for compulsory conferences.

Develop strategies to reduce client costs complaints and monitor compliance with relevant legislative and jurisdictional costing requirements.
