Domestic Violence Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled therapist to fill a key role within our team at the Domestic Family Violence and Sexual Assault Service. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch, culturally sensitive, trauma-informed therapy and support services to individuals impacted by sexual assault and domestic violence.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, be able to work effectively with diverse client groups, and have a deep understanding of trauma-informed care principles. You will also be required to collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to clients.
- Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions to clients affected by sexual assault and domestic violence
- Develop and implement treatment plans that cater to the unique needs of each client
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination
- Participate in regular supervision and training to enhance clinical skills and knowledge
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications in psychology, social work, or a related field
- Experience working with clients who have experienced trauma and abuse
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
