Neurology Transitional Nurse Practitioner Opportunity

The ideal candidate will possess advanced clinical nursing skills, comprehensive assessment capabilities, and the ability to lead and implement changes in a dynamic Neurology environment. This role offers a unique opportunity to demonstrate high-level knowledge and expertise in complex client-centered consultancy, practice development activities, and mentoring.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients using diagnostic capability, planning care, engaging others, prescribing, and implementing therapeutic interventions.
  • Support health systems and contribute to the development of evidence-based knowledge.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and engage in reflective practice and accountability for patient care.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and quality of care.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia, including endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner or enrollment in an NMBA-approved program of study.
  • Postgraduate qualifications at Master's level, in an NMBA-approved program of study or working towards same.
  • Demonstrated expertise in comprehensive health assessment, interpretation of diagnostics, implementation of treatment modalities, and referral skills.
  • Knowledge and experience in complex client-centered consultancy, practice development activities, and mentoring.
  • Advanced leadership, negotiation, liaison, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills across Neurology.
