At Virgin Australia, we're seeking a highly skilled Inventory Analyst to join our Supply team. This 12-month contract role offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our airline.

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and providing recommendations to enhance inventory and supply chain strategies. This will involve liaising with internal departments, gathering information, and using data analysis skills to create robust reports.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining aircraft spares and related equipment availability to support Virgin Australia's Engineering and Maintenance on-time performance target
  • Monitoring and collecting data on current operations, including part utilization, purchasing, repair activity, and vendor performance
  • Assisting with the coordination and conduct of the engineering procurement process
  • Analyzing monthly supply chain costs
  • Providing input and promoting opportunities to review and improve departmental processes and procedures
  • Suggesting changes to inventory plans and processes to improve parts availability and minimize costs
  • Taking responsibility for controlled documents and work instruction amendments
  • Reviewing inventory shortages and updating reorder levels based on operational requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Customer Supply, or Logistics
  • Experience with a relevant CMMS or ERP system
  • Significant experience in strategic inventory analysis
  • Demonstrated asset management experience and experience in reporting on financial budgets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and a working knowledge of Power BI, MS Access, or Tableau
  • Demonstrated data analysis and reporting experience
  • Proven ability to assess complex scenarios and plan outcomes in the most effective manner
  • Relevant qualifications in business management, operations, logistics, or a similar field
