About the PositionWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to provide high-quality support to children, young people, and families in the Hervey Bay region.
As a Support Practitioner, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients.
Main Responsibilities- Deliver flexible, in-home care services to meet the diverse needs of children, youth, and families
- BUILD STRONG RELATIONSHIPS with clients, carers, and internal stakeholders
- Liaise with various stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
- Develop and implement training programs for carers, applying assessment, crisis intervention, and short-term intervention skills and therapeutic approaches
- Degree qualification in social work, psychology, social sciences, or a related field
- Minimum two years' experience in delivering care services to children, young people, and their families in statutory care
- Demonstrated ability to provide training to carers and apply assessment, crisis intervention, and short-term intervention skills and therapeutic approaches
- Knowledge and understanding of child protection and out-of-home care frameworks
