Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive medical laboratory technician to support the cancer diagnostic services in our organization. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory investigations and tests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sample Collection Coordinator: Coordinate the collection of samples for cancer somatic mutation DNA testing, ensuring timely delivery and retrieval.
  • Laboratory Investigations: Perform various laboratory investigations and tests, applying established methods and procedures.
  • Maintenance and Preparation: Undertake other laboratory duties including preparation of materials and maintenance of equipment.
  • Client Liaison: Liaise with internal and external clients to ensure efficient sample delivery and retrieval.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Diploma in Laboratory Technology or equivalent qualification.
  • Pathology Experience: Demonstrated knowledge and experience in delivering pathology services.
  • Teamwork and Priority Management: Ability to work in a team environment and manage competing priorities.
  • Customer Focus: Customer-focused approach and strong interpersonal skills.
