About the Role

As a Physiotherapist, you will provide support and treatments to valuable Defence Force Personnel at the Stirling Health Centre. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing evidence-based physiotherapy assessments, treatments, and rehabilitative services to patients.
  • Directing patients on rehabilitation programs, splinting, plastering, and fitting of orthoses or other devices.
  • Using electrotherapy modalities or hydrotherapy pools where required.
  • Providing advice and recommendations to other health professionals.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behavior.
  • Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Minimum of 2 years full-time post-graduate musculoskeletal experience within the last 5 years in an accredited physiotherapy environment (or part-time equivalent).
  • Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
  • Membership of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (desirable).

The Stirling Health Centre is a state-of-the-art facility located on Garden Island, providing physiotherapy, dentistry, pharmaceutical, general medical, and outpatient services to support the Submarine and Underwater Medicine Unit.
