We are seeking an experienced Construction Management Specialist to join our team at Melbourne Water. This is a pivotal role within the Service Futures portfolio, reporting to the DSS Construction Assessment & Delivery Senior Manager.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team to deliver a program of works that complies with Melbourne Water's financial and asset standards.
- Manage customer relationships by meeting agreed service timeframes and escalating customer complaints to the team.
- Provide technical input to complex design assessments and cost variations.
- Lead and develop people within the team.
- Manage and reduce key business risks, including forecasting of capital projects and ensuring timely transfer to asset owners.
- Collaborate with other Area & Regional Managers and Senior Managers to maintain performance, standards, and expectations.
To be successful in this role, you will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in decision-making in complex Civil engineering areas, and knowledge of Waterway Design, Flood Resilience, Integrated Water Management, and Stormwater across engineering projects. Additionally, you should have high-level communication, relationship management, negotiation, and influencing skills.
Requirements:- Engineering Registration or ability to obtain one.
- Strong Leadership mind-set with the ability to drive and engage high-performing teams.
- Previous experience in decision making in complex Civil engineering related area of work.
- Ability to lead change and communicate with diverse stakeholders.
