Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to lead our Finance team at Robert Walters Australia. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving our commercial strategy and ensuring the financial health of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Finance team, providing guidance, support, and direction to all staff.
  • Oversee all aspects of financial control, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement commercial strategies that drive revenue growth and profitability.
  • Analyse financial data to provide insights and recommendations on cost-saving opportunities, investment strategies, and revenue optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
  • Present financial reports and strategic recommendations to the executive team and stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support business units with financial analysis and guidance to achieve their goals, particularly across sales and customer service.

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with a strong track record in financial management.
  • Proven experience in a senior finance role within a service-based company.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing finance team.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of financial control and strategic planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in financial software and tools, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, small team environment and manage multiple priorities.
