Speech Therapist

As a speech therapist with UnitingCare Queensland, you will work with elderly clients in our communities to provide individualized, person-centred speech therapy. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive speech and language assessments and developing effective treatment plans tailored to each client's needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough speech and language assessments of clients.
  • Develop and implement customized treatment plans to address specific client needs.
  • Maintain open communication within the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Refer clients to appropriate professionals when necessary.
  • Liaise compassionately with clients and their families.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology.
  • Experience as a speech pathologist/therapist, preferably in aged care; graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Exceptional communication skills with relationship-building ability.
  • Understanding of contemporary speech pathology theories and practices.
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence and road-worthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
