Job Title: Community Integration Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated Community Integration Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our resettlement support program, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless transition of refugees into their new homes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing immediate support to recently arrived refugees, linking them with essential service providers, and supporting them in securing accommodation and accessing essential services.

About You:

  • Ability to provide emotional support and guidance to refugees during their settlement process.
  • Knowledge of local community resources and ability to connect refugees with these services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence or willingness to obtain one.
  • Ability to speak Arabic is highly desirable but not essential.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or higher in Social Work, Community Development, or related field.
  • 2+ years experience working in refugee resettlement or similar field.
  • Demonstrated understanding of cultural sensitivity and ability to work effectively with diverse communities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think critically and outside the box.
