Contract Accountant Opportunity

This is a 6 month contract accountant position, with the possibility of being made permanent for the right professional.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process daily bank transactions across multiple entities and currencies (AUD & NZD).
  • Perform daily and monthly reconciliations using systems like NetSuite, Odyssey, and Xero.
  • Review settlement files prior to payment and flag any issues with the operations team.
  • Post journals and run transaction reviews across key accounts.
  • Interact daily with operations and sales teams to resolve issues or clarify transactions.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a finance operations or accounting role.
  • Comfortable working under strict time pressures - daily reconciliations must be completed within 2–2.5 hours.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
  • Intermediate Excel skills - pivot tables and VLOOKUPs at minimum.
  • Exposure to NetSuite, Xero or financial services systems like Odyssey would be beneficial.
