Job Opportunity:

A skilled network technician is sought to join a team supporting various WAN and LAN networks. Key responsibilities include providing incident resolution, implementing routing changes, and serving as a subject matter expert in WAN and LAN technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Install and maintain client LAN/WAN devices.
  2. Respond to and resolve incident tickets.
  3. Draft and implement standard network change requests.
  4. Support Tier III network engineers for incident management and projects.
  5. Perform configuration management functions.
  6. Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades.
  7. Configure and troubleshoot layer 2 switching.

Requirements:

  1. TS SCI with Poly.
  2. 16 years of experience, which can be a combination of work history and education.
  3. Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2.
  4. Working knowledge of basic routing fundamentals.
  5. Working knowledge of layer 2 switching concepts.
  6. Knowledge of CISCO/Juniper Return Material Authorization (RMA) processes.
  7. Layer 1 and Layer 2 network experience.
  8. Knowledge of Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) models.
  9. Knowledge of Cisco Internetworking Operating System (IOS), Juniper JUNOS, and the Brocade and Foundry Operating System (OS).
  10. Familiarity with Layer 3 protocols.
  11. Familiarity with Microsoft Visio, ServiceNow, and Atlassian Confluence.
  12. Working knowledge of Service Now or similar IT Service Management (ITSM) products.
  13. Up to 25% travel.
