The role of a Problem Manager involves the end-to-end lifecycle management of all problems. This includes preventing incidents from occurring and minimizing their impact when they do happen.

Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate information about known errors, developing workarounds to achieve the objective of the role, and collaborating with colleagues to identify root causes of major problems.

In addition, this position requires analyzing historical incidents to develop final solutions for known errors and recommending policy, processes, and procedures to prevent recurrence of incidents.

Key Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need relevant experience in the IT service industry, preferably within a Systems Integrator. You should have specialist knowledge of ITIL Service Management disciplines and excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Effective stakeholder management at all levels, as well as good communication skills and the ability to act as a trusted entity with all parties involved, are also essential requirements.
