Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Content Strategist to join our Marketing team. As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping customer experiences through clear, concise, and engaging content.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Copy Lead and take ownership of executing high-quality content briefs. You will be responsible for delivering a consistent tone of voice across various communication channels, ensuring exceptional content that enhances customer experiences.

This is an excellent opportunity for a creative marketer who can produce outstanding content across campaigns, email, and social media. Whether you're an experienced Copywriter or a seasoned Specialist, this role offers autonomy and the chance to thrive in a fast-paced, digital-only environment.

  • Take ownership of content briefs and deliver them on time, to a high standard, and in line with brand guidelines.
  • Create compelling content for Kogan.com, Dick Smith, Matt Blatt, and other owned brand campaigns across various channels.
  • Lead content creation for longer-form content, including corporate communications, advertorial scripting, and social media scripting.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of content objectives and create content within brand tone of voice guidelines to meet those objectives.
  • Lead A/B testing of content across promotions, analyze results, and apply insights to future content.
  • Owning and evolving tone of voice guidelines in line with campaign performance, brand developments, and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver cohesive, impactful messaging.
  • Contribute original ideas and encourage creative input from others across the team.
  • Presentation and communication of content concepts to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Drive fresh, innovative, and engaging ideas that push the boundaries of content excellence.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A University Degree in a relevant field (Marketing, Communications, or similar).
  • Experience within Content Creation or Copywriting, preferably in a Retail, FMCG, or eCommerce environment.
  • An effective communicator with a proven ability to bring a brand voice to life and create engaging content that supports business outcomes.
  • Able to build and maintain effective relationships through exceptional communication and engagement.
  • Able to manage multiple projects with the ability to switch from one to another seamlessly.
  • Comfortable working within a fast-paced, dynamic environment, being agile and adaptable is key to success.
  • Inquisitive and ready to be challenged - we're not afraid of putting in hard work to deliver a superior product.
