Remote Healthcare Professional Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled healthcare professional to provide quality care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in remote areas of the Northern Territory.

This role is part of our NT Remote Locum Program, which aims to strengthen healthcare services by providing culturally safe and high-quality care.

You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with local healthcare teams, including Aboriginal Health Practitioners, General Practitioners, nurses, and support staff.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide treatment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in remote NT communities
  • Work collaboratively with local healthcare teams
  • Deliver culturally safe and high-quality care

This locum-based role offers short-term placements ranging from 3 to 12 weeks. You will receive cultural orientation and 24/7 support to help you transition into remote healthcare.

Requirements:

  • Evidence of unrestricted registration as a registered nurse and registered midwife with AHPRA
  • Minimum of 3 years of postgraduate experience in midwifery
  • Minimum of 2 years postgraduate experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum of 250 hours of relevant clinical experience within the past 12 months
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Current recognised Immunisation certificate
  • Current Northern Territory Working with Children's Card (or willing to obtain)
