Environmental Regulation Leadership Role

The Environmental Regulation Division is a key component of the Northern Territory Government's Department of Lands, Planning and Environment.

This leadership position plays a critical role in effectively administering the NT's environmental legislation, ensuring the protection of the environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a team to administer the NT's environmental legislation
  • Assessing, approving and licensing activities that may potentially harm the environment
  • Undertaking compliance and enforcement action to ensure environmental safeguards are met

For this challenging role, we seek an individual with proven leadership experience, significant experience in environmental science, management and/or auditing/compliance and regulation, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Requirements:

  • Leadership experience in environmental regulation or a related field
  • Significant experience in environmental science, management and/or auditing/compliance and regulation
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
