Job Overview

Ability Action Australia is one of the largest providers to the National Disability Insurance Scheme, supporting over 10,000 participants each year with the care they need, when and where it is needed.

We work with a multidisciplinary team to build a quality support service around the needs and goals of participants and their families. We welcome Speech Pathologists of all experience levels who enjoy the flexibility of working in a range of settings including clinics and community environments.

About the Role
  • Manage an allocated caseload (based on negotiated hours) and deliver timely therapeutic services
  • Early Years caseload (0-5) – clinic/home-based early intervention and parent coaching (speech sounds, early language, feeding, school-readiness)
  • School-aged children (5-18) – Literacy, social communication, speech, language, fluency, voice, feeding and AAC assessment and implementation
  • Adults – Functional communication, speech, language, fluency, dysphagia and mealtime management, and rehabilitation from neurodegenerative diseases, stroke and acquired brain injury
  • Neuro-affirming supports for neurodivergent individuals of all ages
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality therapy services to clients across various age groups
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans tailored to individual client needs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive client support
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify client needs and goals
