Job Role: Claims Debt Recovery Specialist

The role of a Claims Debt Recovery Specialist is crucial in ensuring the timely and accurate calculation and payment of incapacity benefits.

This position works as part of a Payment and Recovery team responsible for delivering, monitoring, and contributing to debt recovery functions related to income support.

The specialist will investigate how overpayments occurred, prepare waivers and write-off recommendations, and collaborate with other departments as required.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage debt recovery processes for income support claims.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into overpayment occurrences.
  • Prepare and submit waiver and write-off recommendations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve debt recovery issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A strong understanding of workers' compensation schemes and debt recovery principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance.
