Claims Debt Recovery Specialist

The Australian Public Service relies on effective claims management to ensure a sustainable workers' compensation scheme.

  • Collaborate with employers and employees to identify strategies for early return to work or recovery at work, thereby minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
  • Perform financial services to support claims business, including calculation and transactional processing of accounts payable and weekly incapacity benefits, ensuring timely payments and efficient cash flow.
  • Reconcile financial information across various sources, identifying anomalies and addressing them within legislative and policy frameworks, maintaining accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop and implement financial recovery programs where opportunities are identified, including overpayments and third-party recoveries, resulting in cost savings and improved financial outcomes.
