Job Summary

Tianqi Lithium Energy Australia is a joint venture between Tianqi Lithium Corporation and IGO Ltd. As pioneers in the Australian lithium industry, we have achieved great things, including building the first battery-grade lithium hydroxide plant in Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement modifications to the Process Control System (PCS)
  • Work with stakeholders to develop functional specifications
  • Program and commission control systems according to functional specifications
  • Design engineering solutions for control systems
  • Follow Management of Change processes
  • Identify and assess risks using enterprise risk framework policies and procedures, develop and implement risk mitigation plans
  • Test, maintain, and modify existing process control systems
  • Optimize strategies to prevent operational and production delays and minimize lifecycle costs for instrumentation and control infrastructure
Requirements
  • Tertiary Engineering degree with professional experience in process control systems
  • Previous experience in chemical or mineral processing industry
  • Good understanding of distributed control system and control system architecture
  • Extensive experience with Rockwell PLC & SCADA programming
  • Demonstrated ability to understand control philosophy and configure control system as per functional requirements
  • Configuration and commissioning of DOL and Variable Speed Drives
  • Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills

Our Kwinana plant is located near Perth, Western Australia. We acknowledge the Whadjuk and Gnaala Karla Boodja people of the Noongar Nation as the traditional custodians of the area.
