About the Role
The Emergency Department at Northern Beaches Hospital is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires a skilled and experienced Nurse Unit Manager to lead the team. As a Nurse Unit Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership, clinical support, and direction to the department to ensure efficient and effective management of the area.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational direction for the department to ensure efficient and effective management of the area
- Coordinate the delivery of nursing care that is evidence-based
- Manage human, financial, and material resources effectively
- Ensure customer service is maintained at optimal levels
- Undertake direct patient care as required, providing guidance and support to less experienced members of the nursing team
Selection Criteria
- Current Registration with AHPRA
- Working with Children check
- Previous experience at NUM 1 level or equivalent
- More than 5 years Emergency Nursing experience
- Post Graduate qualification in Emergency Nursing
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A strong commitment to developing in a management role
- A commitment to a high standard of clinical and customer-focused care
- High degree of computer literacy
- Ability to work cohesively within a team environment
- Proven time management and prioritisation skills
- Demonstrate a sound knowledge base in labour management
- Demonstrated human resource management experience
