About the Opportunity

Bupa is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinician to join our team in the ACT region. As a key member of our management team, you will play a critical role in shaping the health outcomes of people serving in the Australian Defence Forces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Defence Health Policy: Provide expert advice and recommendations on defence health policy, ensuring alignment with Bupa's strategic objectives.
  • Occupational Health Services: Deliver high-quality occupational health services, including preventative healthcare and workforce advice.
  • Governance and Quality Improvement: Participate in quality and governance improvement initiatives, providing subject matter expertise on clinical incident and complaints management, and performance management processes.
  • Workforce Management: Provide guidance on workforce planning, including staffing levels and supervision of clinical staff.
  • Team Leadership: Conduct team meetings and staff training activities, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced healthcare professional who possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will have a strong background in clinical leadership, governance, and quality improvement, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality services in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a medical practitioner in Australia with AHPRA.
  • A Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) or Vocational Registration.
  • Post Graduate Qualifications in Health Management (Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, Masters, PhD or Doctorate) or commitment to working toward same. Alternatively, a Fellowship of Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (FRACMA).
