
North Queensland Disability Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our Special Education Services team in North Queensland. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and coordinating high-quality advice and support for students with disabilities.
About the Role- Manage and coordinate expert advice and support for students with disabilities, ensuring they receive the best possible outcomes.
- Lead and manage programs providing advice to classroom teachers as needed, promoting collaboration and effective communication.
- Offer high-quality advice to school leadership and staff on planning and implementing reasonable adjustments for students with disabilities, enhancing their educational experience.
- Coordinate targeted teaching for students needing intervention and case management for students requiring significant adjustments, addressing their unique needs.
- Support staff in accessing specialist services and professional development, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Engage in school decision-making, contributing to the development of strategic plans and goals that promote student success.
- Implement and manage school-wide systems to monitor and record data on students with disabilities, enabling informed decision-making and resource allocation.
- Form partnerships with parents, government agencies, and community groups to support students with disabilities, building strong relationships and leveraging resources.
- Manage human, financial, facilities, and curriculum resources to achieve goals, prioritizing efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements- Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in leading Special Education teams or equivalent.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
