Key Data Modelling Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled data professional to take on a pivotal role within our organisation.

As a Senior Data Modeller, your primary responsibility will be to analyse business requirements and translate them into robust logical and physical data models.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and optimise database structures, including tables, views, and relationships, to ensure maximum performance and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive data dictionaries and metadata documentation.
  • Contribute to data governance frameworks and provide expert guidance to development teams on data modelling best practices.

You will work closely with key stakeholders, translating complex business needs into elegant data solutions and making a tangible impact on major projects. A strong understanding of core data management principles is essential for this role.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 4 years of direct experience in data modelling, with a strong focus on designing and developing dimensional data marts using the Kimball methodology.
  • Proven proficiency in cloud environments with hands-on expertise in SQL, Databricks, and dbt (data build tool).
  • Expertise using industry-standard data modelling software such as ER/Studio, ERwin, or similar tools.

The ideal candidate will have excellent consulting skills, with a proven ability to engage clients, understand business challenges, and manage stakeholder expectations. You will also have highly developed oral and written communication skills, with the ability to run workshops and articulate complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
