Resource Geologist Job Overview

Geological modelling, resource estimation and mineral reporting services are in high demand within the mining industry. We seek an experienced Resource Geologist to join our team and establish a thriving practice.

This is a key role within our European-Australian Mining Group, where you will collaborate with a highly integrated team of professionals across Europe, North America and Australia.

As a successful candidate, you will have at least 10 years of experience working in a consulting environment and possess a high standard of technical geological and ore forming processes knowledge across a broad range of typical commodities.

  • Lead geological modelling efforts for mining sector clients
  • Develop business opportunities and prepare proposals
  • Mentor early- and mid-career staff
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage overall project delivery, including planning and controls, financial management, change management, risk management, and contract/subcontract management
  • Act as QP/CP in accordance with international standards (e.g. NI 43-101, JORC)
  • Expand current practices through business development and client management
Education and Licensure
  • Bachelor's degree in geology or engineering geology required
  • Professional affiliation (e.g., GSL, AusIMM) required
  • Professional registration (e.g. CGeol) required
Required Skills
  • High proficiency with geological modelling and geostatistical software (e.g. Datamine, Isatis, Leapfrog)
  • Experience managing projects and their associated challenges

A successful candidate will be part of an innovative, international engineering and consulting firm serving private and public-sector clients addressing environmental, natural resources and civil infrastructure challenges.
