The Opportunity

A strong lawyer with technical expertise in construction is sought to join an energetic and high-performing team of lawyers. This role involves delivering exceptional client service and driving practice growth across various sectors.

You will work closely with the team on a broad range of construction, infrastructure, and commercial matters, providing strategic advice on contract procurement and interpreting contractual claims.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex construction contracts, including Australian Standards, Residential Building Contracts, Consultancy Agreements, Subcontractor Agreements, and ECI Agreements.
  • Advising clients on regulatory compliance matters, such as security of payment claims, DBP Act, and RAB Act requirements.
  • Contributing to the growth of the team and business through knowledge sharing, training, and thought leadership initiatives.
  • Working collaboratively with Practice Leaders, mentoring graduates, and being part of a dynamic and supportive team.
Requirements
  • Quality experience: 3+ years of experience in a reputable legal environment, with demonstrated expertise in front-end construction/infrastructure matters and general commercial contracts.
  • Excellent attention to detail, prioritization skills, and autonomy.
  • A collaborative mindset, adaptability, and a passion for learning from colleagues.
