We are seeking a qualified and experienced Youth Worker to join our Student Wellbeing Team at Victoria University Secondary College. The successful applicant will work with and support young people, developing and facilitating programs that address social, behavioural, welfare, developmental, and protection needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a range of services to meet the needs of young people, including individual and group support.
- Develop and facilitate programs that address social, behavioural, welfare, developmental, and protection needs.
- Work collaboratively with students, families, and external organisations to achieve positive outcomes.
- Implement and manage intervention strategies to address complex cases, including critical incidents and cross-profession or agency collaboration.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and procedures related to student wellbeing.
Requirements:
- Qualifications in youth work, social work, or a related field.
- Experience working with young people, particularly in a school setting.
- Knowledge of current issues facing young people and outside support agencies.
- Ability to develop and manage relationships with students, families, and external organisations.
- Capacity to implement and manage intervention strategies to address complex cases.
Working Conditions:
