Delaware North is seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our esteemed culinary team at a premier hospitality destination. As a culinary leader, you will oversee the operations of multiple dining outlets, ensuring seamless service and exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Outlet Management: Oversee the daily operations of multiple dining outlets, including a substantial banquet operation, to ensure efficient service and high-quality food preparation.
  • Business Acumen: Demonstrate superior business skills, including managing and controlling costs, driving continuous improvement, and handling budget and capital expenditure planning.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing team of chefs, focusing on training and development in modern culinary trends, mentoring, and empowering staff to reach their highest potential.
  • Culinary Innovation: Design and implement modern menus that respect traditional cuisine, continually striving to outshine the local market.
  • Food Safety: Maintain a sound knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards, ensuring compliance across all culinary operations.

Requirements

  • Culinary Experience: Minimum 5 years in a similar role within a comparable operation, with a strong passion for modern menu design and a respect for traditional cuisine.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing team, with a focus on training and development in modern culinary trends.
  • Business Acumen: Demonstrated business skills, including managing and controlling costs, driving continuous improvement, and handling budget and capital expenditure planning.
  • Culinary Knowledge: Familiarity with a wide range of cooking styles and ethnic cuisines, with a strong understanding of HACCP and food safety standards.
  • Technical Skills: Strong computer skills, experience with procurement, costings, scheduling, and proficiency in Microsoft platforms.
