We are seeking a highly skilled Pastry Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team at Mindil Beach Casino Resort, a leading entertainment destination in the Northern Territory.

About the Role

  • Support the day-to-day culinary operation across event-day and non-event day catering
  • Consistency with high quality and presentation standards
  • Highly skilled at minimising waste
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of HACCP and Food Safety standards
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef in establishing, executing, and evaluating food service standards
  • Monitor dish quality throughout preparation and presentation stages
  • Address food preparation issues with managers, kitchen and waiting staff
  • Demonstrate techniques and provide advice on cooking procedures
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts over a 7 day a week roster, based upon the event schedule

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie in a high-volume production environment
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet strict timelines
  • Strong team player with the capacity to work independently
  • Proficient in Food Control Plans/HACCP principles and maintaining accurate food safety records
  • Effective communication skills to keep the team informed of production progress
  • Willingness to assist in other kitchen areas is advantageous
  • Creativity and passion for food with a commitment to exceptional service
  • Team player mindset with the ability to mentor culinary team members
  • Certificate III Commercial Cookery essential
  • Diploma of Hospitality desired
  • HACCP Certification desired
  • Food safety Supervisor certificate desired
