About the Role

We are seeking a talented Aboriginal Trainee Environmental Health Officer to join our dynamic Environment & Health team at Goulburn Mulwaree Council. This six-year traineeship offers a unique opportunity to combine work experience with studies, gaining valuable skills and knowledge in environmental health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect swimming pools, food businesses, and other establishments to ensure compliance with health regulations.
  • Respond to enquiries and investigate complaints from the community, providing education and guidance on environmental health practices.
  • Conduct water sampling and mosquito monitoring to protect public health.
  • Educate people on how to protect their health and the environment.
Your Eligibility

To be eligible for this traineeship, you must:

  • Identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person by descent and identity, recognized by the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander community.
  • Be able to successfully enrol in the Bachelor of Science (Environmental Health) degree at Western Sydney University.
  • Hold a current Class C Driver's Licence.
