Production Manager

Are you a skilled leader with experience in managing production facilities? We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee the efficient and effective operation of our manufacturing facility.

In this key role, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and high-quality manufacture of a wide range of cosmetic and therapeutic topical products. As a full-time position, you will play a vital part in the success of our company.

  1. Responsible for manufacturing, packaging, warehousing, and maintenance
  2. Ensure timely execution of production plans
  3. Accountability for safety, quality, and environmental compliance across the site
  4. Lead, motivate, and develop team members to enhance performance/productivity and foster a safe, inclusive, collaborative, and supportive culture
  5. Maintain quality standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and assist Quality Manager with external audits
  6. Drive continuous process improvement initiatives across all departments to improve overall operational performance
  7. Source, install, and commission new equipment
  8. Perform ongoing maintenance of all equipment on site and basic repairs
  9. Equipment fault finding and repairs
  10. Maintain appropriate levels of critical spares

Our ideal candidate should have:

  • Previous experience in process plant operations, ideally within cosmetic, pharmaceutical, or other FMCG business
  • Experience working within a regulated environment
  • Strong understanding of safety with the ability to identify risks and implement controls
  • High level of mechanical aptitude and competent at basic equipment repairs
  • Thorough understanding of sitewide maintenance requirements for a manufacturing business
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Previous contractor management experience
  • Proficient in MS suite
