Technical Leadership Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior technical professional to take on a key leadership role within our organisation. As Software Development Manager, you will be responsible for guiding the product development team towards delivering innovative solutions that meet quality standards.

Key responsibilities include providing strategic vision and practical guidance in overseeing the design, build, and maintenance of complex software products. You will collaborate with architects, delivery leads, analysts, testers, developers, and other stakeholders to prioritise features against delivery timelines while ensuring regulatory compliance.

  • Leading Technical Teams: Provide hands-on technical leadership for secure, scalable cloud platforms in healthcare.
  • Cross-Functional Team Management: Lead cross-functional full-stack development teams through all SDLC stages.
  • Adoption of Emerging Technologies: Drive adoption of AI tools and automation to enhance engineering efficiency and platform intelligence.

In order to succeed in this role, you will require senior-level experience in software engineering, ideally in regulated sectors like healthcare or fintech. Strong technical and leadership skills are essential, alongside collaboration skills, the ability to translate business needs into scalable solutions, and experience fostering inclusive, high-performing teams.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with modern tech stacks (e.g., React, Node.js, AWS, PostgreSQL), CI/CD, microservices, and security best practices. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and AI/ML integration is a strong advantage.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent qualifications/experience demonstrating deep technical expertise relevant to software development management roles.
  • A minimum of five years' experience in technical leadership with direct people management within cross-functional teams.
  • Proven success in scaling teams in regulated industries such as healthcare or fintech where compliance is critical.
  • Hands-on proficiency with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) and cloud infrastructure (AWS, CI/CD pipelines).

Experience applying Agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban, along with a proven track record integrating AI/ML into production systems or supporting data analytics platforms, is highly desirable.
