Job Opportunity in Neurosurgery

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Neurosurgery Registrar to join our team at Norwest Private Hospital. As a key member of our Neurosurgery department, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced surgeons and gain valuable experience in managing patients on the ward and assisting in Neurosurgery operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing surgical assistant skills in the operating theatre to support the Accredited Visiting Medical Officer (VMO)
  • Reviewing patients in the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit as required by and under the supervision of the Accredited VMO during business hours
  • Reviewing inpatients pre and post operatively at the request of the Accredited VMO during business hours
  • Participating in Neurosurgery Department meetings
  • Participating in clinical teaching opportunities

Requirements:

  • AHPRA Registered Medical Practitioner with eligibility to work in Australia
  • Third year postgraduate (PGY3) or above
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum of 12 months experience in specialty
  • Recent experience working in Australia
