Neurosurgery Registrar Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Neurosurgery Registrar to join our team at Norwest Private Hospital. As a Neurosurgery Registrar, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced surgeons and gain valuable experience in the field of neurosurgery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing surgical assistant skills in the operating theatre to support the Accredited Visiting Medical Officer (VMO)
  • Reviewing patients in the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit as required by and under the supervision of the Accredited VMO during business hours
  • Reviewing inpatients pre and post operatively at the request of the Accredited VMO during business hours
  • Participating in Neurosurgery Department meetings
  • Participating in clinical teaching opportunities

Requirements:

  • AHPRA Registered Medical Practitioner with eligibility to work in Australia
  • Third year postgraduate (PGY3) or above
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum of 12 months experience in specialty
  • Recent experience working in Australia
