About the Role- Develop and articulate comprehensive strategies for renewable energy project portfolios.
- Technical expertise includes energy storage, photovoltaic, hybrid, gas turbine, and wind technologies on major project opportunities.
- SUPPORT OUR COMPANY'S GROWTH ASPIRATIONS by assessing new potential transmission connections or acquisitions of projects from other parties.
- Conduct multicriteria preliminary desktop assessments utilizing detailed knowledge of transmission systems and the NEM, as well as coordinating Subject Matter Experts to contribute to full due diligence assessments.
- Define and develop the scope required for complex technical studies by specialist consultants and ensure that key tactical and risk recommendations are made.
- Lead and undertake highly complex assessments of discrete grid connections, as well as strategic review, recommendations, and decisions related to the wider National Electricity Market to select strategic energy sites and projects.
- Present opportunities and risks clearly to the business for consideration.
- Remain the in-house Subject Matter Expert in relation to changes to the National Electricity Rules and work closely with our Regulatory Team.
- Considerable technical experience in renewable energy development within the National Energy Market.
- Significant experience in connecting new assets to the National Energy Market.
- In-depth understanding of the AEMO Integrated System Plan and related documentation.
- Highly developed communication skills (verbal and written) including influencing and negotiation.
- Ability to travel when required.
- Engineering degree with 10 years relevant experience in the Australian market.
You will bring considerable technical experience in renewable energy development within the National Energy Market, significant experience in connecting new assets to the National Energy Market, in-depth understanding of the AEMO Integrated System Plan and related documentation, highly developed communication skills (verbal and written) including influencing and negotiation, ability to travel when required, and engineering degree with 10 years relevant experience in the Australian market.
