Senior Power Systems Expert

Are you passionate about developing and implementing sustainable energy solutions? This role offers the opportunity to contribute to significant renewable energy projects in Australia and Asia Pacific.

This is a chance to work with experienced team members on studies, technical advisory services, and project management for large-scale energy transition infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise clients on power system challenges, develop requirements, review technical submissions, and coordinate with experts.
  • Manage time, quality, and financial aspects of projects and proposals to meet deadlines and success criteria.
  • Provide guidance and review designs for generator interconnections in onshore and offshore environments.
  • Implement QA/QC procedures and understand relevant codes and standards.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Assist with performance management and mentoring.
  • Lead business development and proposal efforts in Power Systems.

You will be part of a high-performing team delivering solutions for clients involved in wind, solar, batteries, and waste-to-energy projects.

The team works on cutting-edge domains like HVDC, solar photovoltaics, and offshore wind, supported by global specialists committed to expanding our presence in Australia, especially in states with progressive climate policies.

About You

We support your growth from day one, aiming for your career advancement within the company. For this role, key qualifications include:

  • An electrical engineering degree (B.Eng., BS, or MS); Chartered Professional Engineer status is highly preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of electrical systems and components within the Australian context.
  • A strong desire to contribute to the green energy transition.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in large-scale renewables design or project development.
  • Significant project experience, preferably in similar roles.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to communicate effectively, resolve conflicts, and foster continuous learning.
  • Advanced knowledge of project development stages: siting, feasibility, conceptual design, FEED, procurement, and EPC delivery.
