Nathan Contractors is a civil engineering contractor, delivering specialised services in Australia's infrastructure market. Nathan delivers works for Energy, Bridge and Roads, Dams, Water and Mining infrastructure projects with a focus on the concrete section of projects. We work anywhere from northern QLD to Victoria.

The Position

As HSE Manager, you'll work closely with the Senior Management and Project Teams to strengthen our proactive safety culture. You'll provide strategic guidance, ensure compliance with legislation and client standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives in safety and environmental performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and maintain company-wide HSE systems and procedures.
  • Provide leadership, support and mentoring to site-based teams.
  • Monitor compliance and conduct regular audits, inspections and risk reviews.
  • Liaise with clients, regulators and stakeholders on HSE matters.
  • Lead incident investigations and drive effective corrective and preventative actions.
  • Champion a strong safety-first culture across all projects.

What You'll Bring:

  • Proven experience in a senior HSE leadership role in FRP/civil construction or infrastructure.
  • Strong working knowledge of WHS and environmental legislation.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Willingness to travel to regional projects as required.
  • Minimum Cert IV in Work Health & Safety.
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
  • Current Drug & Alcohol Screening/Testing Qualification.
