Civil Engineering Technician

A skilled Civil Engineering Technician is required to perform a range of tasks, including cost estimation, interpreting work assignments, and examining civil engineering sites.

Key duties include:

  • Assisting in the estimation of costs for Civil Engineering projects.
  • Interpreting work assignment guidelines and performing tests on building materials.
  • Creating drawings and tables, selecting equipment and procedures, and arranging maintenance and repair work.
  • Examining civil engineering sites, gathering data, analysing and performing calculations.
  • Verifying that completed projects comply with specifications, regulations and contract terms.
  • Gathering data for traffic surveys and conducting tests on construction materials and soils in laboratory and field environments.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive technical knowledge and strong interpersonal skills, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.

Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential for this position.

Applicants should be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
